Hanging Up the Cleats

Shutting down and some final thoughts

I just announced on LinkedIn that I’m shutting down the search - my note is below.

I have a few things I'd like to write about while the ideas are still fresh in my head.

If there’s anything you’d like me to cover, just drop me a line. I’ll be doing a few more longer posts here and some shorter stuff on LinkedIn.

After two years of searching for a business to acquire, I’m hanging up the cleats.

I’m grateful to have spent the last two years doing a search fund. I learned a ton, was exposed to smart and interesting people, and it opened my eyes to how malleable the world is. Most importantly, there are no “what ifs” that would be present if I had not pulled on this thread.

I’m especially grateful to Selin Tyler - your support and patience throughout a difficult process meant the world to me.

I’m also grateful for my search fund investors. I learned so much about sales, investing and leadership - many weeks I felt that I should be paying for such an enriching experience.

I know this experience will have ripple effects on my career, and I’m excited to carry what I’ve learned into my next chapter.
